There are two main ways to translate our CMS driven sites.
Using the google translate, we build in a drop down menu with the languages provided by google. This is a cheap way of getting your site across many of different languages but the draw backs are that the quality of the translation will only be as good as google provides. You cannot edit any of the translations, images will not be translated.
Main advantage is we can install this feature on any of our sites for free.
This is by far the best way to achieve a true translation, but it is time consuming as all the content of your site must me manually typed into the translation program. However the advantages far out weigh the disadvantages. Every aspect of your site can be translated, the translation will be in spoken word as it is typed by a human.
All keywords, META tags and page description can be translated which means the website can be SEO' d for that language. Images, Logos and graphics can also be translated.
The site can auto detect a browsers language and select the localized language e.g. if you have Korean and English languages on your site, and a visitor with an english windows operating system opens your page the site will open in english, if a person with a Korean operating system opens the site it will be in Korean. But if a english speaking person is using a Korean computer we have Flags indicating the language at top of the page which the can choose.
